Shop and Cook with Walter Trupp

Walter Bourke

Join chef Walter Trupp as he hosts a shop and cook event with a seasonal focus.

Guests will gather at Walters’ cooking school before embarking on a shopping tour of the famous Prahran Market.

Walk around the colorful, produce filled market stalls with Walter to the find the best ingredients, learn some cooking hints and maybe even try something new and exotic.
Each season the market brings its own delights with seasonal fresh fruit and vegetables, fish, meat and herbs.

Then it’s time to get hands-on preparing a delicious meal at the cooking school, guided by Walter of course.

The menu can be based around French, Spanish or Italian dishes – the choice is yours!

Guests will then get to share the beautiful three course meal they have prepared in the gorgeous dining room.

A great way to work alongside a top chef and enjoy a real food shopping and cooking experience.

Note - This class operates on Prahran Market days - Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Costs
Shop and Cook with Walter Trupp costs $1650.00 – this covers up to 10 guests.
Extra guests are $165 pp – Maximum 14 guests.
The event runs for approximately 3 hours.
All classes require pre-payment to secure the event.

Walter Trupp

Internationally renowned chef, Walter Trupp has worked at some of the most prestigious restaurants in Europe and Australia. His CV includes Gasthof Post in Austria, Michel Roux`s three Michelin stared Waterside Inn, before joining Marco Pierre White as executive head chef in his restaurant group. He moved to Melbourne and ran Langton’s Restaurant and Wine Bar for three years. Walter developed his skills as a cooking teacher focusing on food appreciation and home cooking at the Queen Victoria Market, William Angliss Short Courses, the CAE, food expos and TV appearances.
